The
National Indian Council on Aging (NICOA)
has served as the nation's foremost non-profit advocate for American Indian
and Alaska Native elders. NICOA advocates on their behalf across a broad range
of health and human service issues. Technical assistance and training are provided
to the staffs of Indian tribal organizations. The Council conducts surveys to
identify specific needs of older Native Americans and serves as a clearinghouse
on issues of special concern.
