MISSION STATEMENT

Out of Many, One:Campaign to Eliminate Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Health (OMO) believes that the attainment of the highest level of health and quality of life is a basic human and civil right. OMO embraces a vision of healthy communities that respect diverse cultural and spiritual values and empower all people - individuals and families - in a loving, holistic, healing and compassionate manner. OMO is committed to the development of a diverse leadership to build a healthy environment and a prosperous, just and humane society.

OMO assists community based organizations, federal, state and local government agencies to build effective multicultural coalitions addressing minority health and health disparities By using proven coalition building techniques and a dedicated network of organizations which comprise its core management structure, OMO is able to outreach to multiple communities nationwide, to build the capacity of organizations to be effective in addressing local and national concerns regarding disparities in healthcare.
